2009 CBC Poetry Face-Off—national competition

Posted: 497 days ago

I would like to thank everyone that came to watch me and the other four competitors perform at CBC centre stage for the 2009 Edmonton CBC Poetry Faceoff. There was some fierce competition, but at the end of the day, my poem was selected as the winning piece. So what’s next?

The national competition…

From April 27–30, 2009, the winning poems from each of the 11 regional competitions will be broadcast from 11:00 am–11:30 am on CBC Radio One and online.

The winner will be chosen by popular vote; voting will take place on the CBC radio website on April 30, 2009, between noon and midnight.

As the Edmonton finalist, my piece will be broadcast on April 27 at 11 am. If you like my piece, I’d appreciate your support.

Vote online at:
